CORNELIUS, NC - Congratulations are in order for a number of Performance Program Alumni who have distinguished themselves in competition in the early part of the 2008 race season!
- Mike Hill, who dominated the Star Mazda Winter Series in convincing fashion with six podiums in six attempts (2 first place wins at Buttonwillow Raceway Park; a second and a third at Firebird International Raceway; and 2 more first place wins at Phoenix International Raceway). Mike will use this successful experience with the John Walko Racing team as a warm-up in preparation for a full-on assault on the 2008 Pro Star Mazda Series Championship that gets underway at Sebring, FL in mid-March.
- Craig Stanton, who put in a great drive with teammate Tim Traver to win the 2008 Grand-Am Koni Challenge race at Daytona International Speedway in his #83 BGB Motorsports entry. Special mention also goes to Joe Foster and his Hyper Sport teammates Scott Maxwell and Jeff Courtney who finished in second place, a mere 4.356 seconds behind!
- Scott Pruett (#01 TELMEX Chip Ganassi with Felix Sabates), who finished first in the DP Class in the 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Special mention also goes out to alumni Alex Gurney (#99 Bob Stallings/Riley-Matthews) and Helio Castroneves (#9 Penske-Taylor Racing) who finished 2nd and 3rd in DP Class, respectively.
- Andy Lally (#66 TRG), who posted a strong 2nd place finish in GT Class in the 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Special mention also goes to teammates Tim George Jr. and Bryan Sellers (#67 TRG) who finished in 3rd position in GT Class.
- Ryan Newman (#12 ALLTEL Penske Racing), who clinched his first ever Daytona 500 in grand style, bringing Roger Penske to the Winner’s Circle in the 50th running of this storied event for the first time in his NASCAR career as a team owner. Congratulations to Ryan, Mr. Penske, and the whole Penske Racing organization!

Look for new interviews to be added going forward that will give viewers insights as to the impact of these programs on their performance and in everyday life.
